Common answers to your questions
Can I nominate more than one business in a category?
Absolutely you can. You can nominate one business in each category per form submission. If you want to nominate two businesses that sit in the same category just fill out the form again and submit.
Do nomination effect votes?
No. If a business gets multiple nominations they are still on equal footing when it comes to the voting period.
Can I nominate my own business?
Yes. We won’t tell.
My business is based elsewhere but I often work in the Hunter. Can I be nominated?
You sure can.
When will nominations close?
Nominations will start 1 June, 2024 at 12:01pm and close on 15 July, 2024 at 11:59pm AEST
When will voting commence?
Voting will start on 1 July, 2024 9:01am and end 21 July, 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.
Is this rigged?
We do our best to put technology in place to ensure duplicate votes and bots aren’t at play. That said there’s nothing stopping you asking your friends and family to vote for you. We’re all adults, it’s all a bit of fun. Unlike other wedding awards, we don’t pretend the significance of winning a “Sassie” is anything more than a way of recognising the hard work of people in the industry.
Why don’t you use BRIDE or GROOM for The Sassies?
We recognise that not everyone identifies as a bride or a groom. By using non defining terms, we hope to encourage inclusive language in the wedding industry and celebrate the uniqueness of all couples.
Can I win an award without turning up to the Sassies?
We’d love for you to come, but if you win, you win. We’ll get the award to you somehow.
What if the Sassies can’t go ahead?
We get that life is a bit up and down (even now) so if the Sassies can’t go ahead we will do one of two things i) postpone the event to a day/time when everyone can attend ii) if the event can’t go ahead, refund ticket sales (excluding admin fees)
